About

W.odd Custom Drums started with a simple idea: “I need a snare!” But grew to lets make the things we want to see on drums ourselves.

We started making wooden drum shells in 2012. In 2020, after years of trying to find someone to produce hardware for us, one shiny and delulu day, we decided to start making our own hardware.. What started with a few parts and farts for our own drums slowly grew into something much bigger.

Over the years, we have made shells, lugs, strainers, hoops and other hardware for more than 100 drum makers and manufacturers from different parts of the world. We have produced thousands of individual parts, made a lot of chips, spent countless hours, made mistakes, fixed them, and learned a lot along the way.

Work with other builders is a big part of how W.odd became what it is today. It gave us the chance to see how different people approach drums and drumbuilding. What works and what doesn’t.
What our strengths and weaknesses are, and how much time and attention to detail goes into making something that is meant to last.

We work with wood, brass, steel and aluminium (aka aluminum over there), all of our drums and hardware is made in house.

If you made it all the way to the end, send us an email at woddcustomdrums@gmail.com and say hi. Maybe we have something for you.
